The West End is blessed with a local climate that permits year round gardening thereby encouraging everyone with a green thumb to exercise their talent for all to enjoy. Balconies overflowing with greenery and flowers of all kinds or landscaped grounds around buildings of various sizes, age and style all contribute to a very real sense of relaxation when walking in the West End if one is inclined to appreciate these efforts. For this to exist so close to a downtown core of a major North American city is rare indeed.
Since the appreciation of flowers, gardens and natural phenomena is a subjective and personal issue these images are presented to provide an opportunity for viewers to share, each in their own way, in the West End's pride of the atmosphere that has been cultivated by all these green thumbs.
