West End High-Rise Towers
The West End is home to a large variety of building types. This section is a catalog of sorts of those buildings that could be interpreted as our towers. There are over 40 buildings in this category. The choices are arbitrary at the 15-20 story level because a building has to convey the impression of being a tower. This means that there are some buildings that individuals may question due to inclusion or exclusion. These issues will be dealt with in future revisions and as a result of feedback.
The structural nature of towers can make it awkward to choose an angle from which to provide an image. Some sides (north facing) have very little sunlight, the front may be obstructed, no space may be available to get a clear view of the entire building. Since these images are not portraits but efforts to create a documentary record the best possible angle at a time of photographing was chosen. Information regarding the buildings will be expanded as research provides more details of interest.
